Moments later, Paddy receives the data. Remotely opens the editing suite on Paddy’s desktop. “Haha … that tickles,” giggles Paddy.
“Ssshhh dude!” says Celly as she reaches over and flicks his mute button on. Between Remotely, Celly and the Goog and a multitude of swipes and taps, the footage is ready to view.
What is about to come looks promising. The view of the lockers, then Jacob walking in followed by, “Hey, Goodman you weirdo. …” It’s all there, captured superbly. The video is sharp, and the audio is loud and precise. The evidence is crystal clear!
“We’ll upload this to YouTube and send the link to the everyone in the staff email list, then Jacob can relax. I doubt he’ll be harassed again once this is made public,” says a satisfied Remotely.
Celly agrees with Remotely. “Definitely. After viewing this footage, the school will be forced to act. I just hope Jacob can learn a valuable lesson about courage from this sad mess. If he’d followed through with his email, he could have put an end to this himself.”
“Excellent work, Heroes. I couldn’t have hoped for a more convincing outcome. You all deserve an upgrade! Until the next assignment … Wax Valiant!” beams the Goog.
With that, he slips back into sleep mode, and the Heroes – exhausted, yet satisfied – head back to their charge cradles for a well-needed boost, and before Rusty comes home for lunch.
Meanwhile, back at school, the video is received by every teacher in the email list. Within minutes the school counsellor is heading straight for the bullies’ class. “Terry, Violet and Leon … come with me,” he says sternly, then promptly marches the trio of thugs directly to the headmaster’s office.
