Meanwhile, back at the gymnasium, Lapdog is having a snooze. Suddenly he wakes with a fright.
“Lapdog, we need you!” skypes a frantic Celly. “We’re being chased. Meet us at the front gates now!!”
In an instant, Lapdog’s on his feet, running for all he’s worth, the trolley bouncing crazily behind him.
“Over here,” shouts Paddy, wildly waving his arms about while maintaining his awkward running style. Lapdog can see the Heroes, with Terry and his cronies in hot pursuit. His timing is perfect as he draws up to the gate, alongside the Heroes, slowing just enough for them to clamber aboard, and just as Remotely notices a Segway by the bike rack. Immediately he engages his remote control super power and guides the Segway into the pursuing renegades to slow them down.
Terry is enraged. Head down, he plows into the Segway and Leon, whom Terry holds responsible for this mess for not being an effective lookout. From the growing distance, the Heroes hear a stream of furious words and blame coming out of a tangled array of arms, legs, and wheels.
Back home, the Heroes head directly to the Situation Room. “Wake up, Goog, wake up,” urges Celly excitedly while Mini bounces on his keyboard to get his attention. Within a few moments, the Goog is fully alert.
“What have you found, Heroes?” he asks.
“We’re not sure yet. We had to get out of there real fast, man,” exclaims Celly.
“OK, Celly,” replies the Goog, “transfer your data via Bluetooth to Paddy, and we’ll edit your footage together with his. I’ll save a copy to my hard drive, and back one up to the cloud.”
