Based on a True Story …
The Goodmans could be described as your average family if not for one fact they’re totally unaware of. They own a series of devices with superpowers.
And at the head of this band of tech heroes is Remotely.

Sunday evening. The Goodmans are relaxing at home. Rusty, the hardworking father, is sitting on his recliner watching the Comedy Channel while Remotely — his remote control and the brave leader of a band of tech superheroes — is nestled perfectly on his protruding belly.
Janice is Rusty’s online shopping-obsessed wife. She’s checking her watchlists on eBay while the family cat WiFi eyes every swipe she makes on her tablet. WiFi got his name because he was fascinated by the wireless router in the kitchen. It’s still his favourite spot to sleep.
The children are doing their usual thing. Popular, smart and pretty, Becky checks her Facebook while having a simultaneous textversation with her bestie, Samantha. Jacob, slightly awkward and shy, is fully absorbed in his favourite online computer game. He’s been rationed to just one hour of internet a night as punishment for speaking disrespectfully to his Mum.
And in a world of his own, mischievous Mikey is boogying to the MP3 player he inherited from Becky when she received a smartphone for her birthday.
Suddenly, a dim, pulsating light under the crack of the basement door catches Remotely’s eye. He knows exactly what it is and where it’s coming from. It’s the old university research PC that Janice brought home some years ago, which is covered under a dusty blanket and forgotten downstairs.
Remotely’s excited as he knows what this means. That old, wise figure, the Great Goog, is summoning the Heroes to the situation room at midnight. Another adventure is about to begin!
It’s 11.59 pm. Rusty is snoring loudly in his chair while a late night talk show lights up the flat-screen television, volume down. Everyone else is tucked up in bed. But from their various locations, the Heroes – Remotely, Celly Smart, Paddy Apps, Mini and Lapdog – quietly make their way downstairs despite Rusty’s snoring being audible throughout the entire house.
The light emanating from the Great Goog’s oversized monitor is almost blinding as they enter the basement in the otherwise dark of night. One by one, the Heroes assemble in front of him.
